Hi I'm Deante

Hello all. My name is Deante Smith, I am a senior enrolled in the Welding Technology program at the D Russel Lee Career Technology Center. I'm from Lakota West High School in West Chester/Liberty Township. I am also an active member in the high school marching band, the City of Cincinnati Track and Field Team, and an active member in the community. I am a former Ohio Reads tutor for the Lakota Early Childhood Center and a NTHS member.

Me choosing to come to Butler Tech/D Russel Lee was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. Not only have I made tons of new friends but I've also become an officer for Skills USA. I have also gotten to know both my academic (math, science, Spanish) and lab (welding, NSTP) teachers in a way that only you can accomplish in a small town setting, but I've also traveled the United States learning about what it takes to become a world class worker, seeing all types of People from around our nation.

So in closing, to learn more about the many things that butler tech has to offer, ask your counselor about coming to shadow one of our many diverse programs or visit the school.< P.S: *#you can still take classes at your home school and still attend butler tech
